Statement:
I like to take photos of the urban environment. This is a wall in Berkeley, a floor in Paris, a laundromat chair painting I did in San Francisco and a leaf inspired by Chinese flash cards which I found on the streets of Chinatown along with various leaves I pick up. The leaf is the symbol of the struggle of the urban forest's survival as nature coincides with the unlikely juxtapositions which happen in all cities. I like the tenacious qualities of nature and people as they attempt to live in harmony. |
