Statement:
Since 1992 the subject of my paintings has been predominantly landscape forms and trees with a focus on core compositional elements, an investigation of color relationships, and the interaction between abstraction and representation. My objective is to make paintings where references to the natural world, through a studied simplification of formal components, become images of stillness and harmony. |
